Choquette Guiney’s association with IBM began in 1989, when she joined IBM Service Delivery in Raleigh as an Technical Support Engineer. Since then, she has held a variety of management roles within the company in the areas of sales, operations, and technology. Just prior to taking up her current Client Executive position, Guiney served as Business Development Manager for the Carolinas, expanding opportunities for IBM Technical Support, identifying market segments, and implementing business development strategies. Throughout her career, Guiney’s strength has been her combination of technical and business knowledge, and her ability to clearly discuss technology’s impact on business practices with her clients.
Choquette Guiney holds a BS in Computer Engineering from Clemson University, and an MBA from Emory University. She recently received a certificate in Service Management from the Information Technology Infrastructure Library, a program focused on bringing together business needs and IT services. Beyond her professional activities, Guiney volunteers as a mediator for the Charlotte-Mecklenburg County Dispute Settlement Program, and is an outdoor enthusiast and avid traveler.
